That's a pretty exhaustive but positive list of changes you expect to see..!! I would like to join in envisioning that more of these become a reality...
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Ajay! I welcome you to my blog! Very glad to see a comment so soon & really happy that U r joining me in achieving more for India! :) Do keep comin back for more thought-provoking posts! Thanks again for your encouragement!
DeleteI really hope atleast some of these wishes come true Amrita.. I really hope..
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Ritika! Glad U read n commented! Lets wrk hard for bringing India fame n progress!:)
DeleteWifi in villages not required, at least not now...It wont be worth ROI
ReplyDeleteHmm..how abt havin wifi in Common Service Centres to start with...certainly wrth the ROI! :) Thanks for ur comment!
DeleteTo stop brain drain we must start teaching in Indian languages as Gandhiji wrote in his book. Learning English is ok but learning everything in English is not ok. Japan & China are two example that we can develop by learning in our own languages. We need to give priority to Indian languages in both education & jobs.
ReplyDeleteYa agreed...importance shd first be given to vernacular language as we tend to process info in our mother tongue...next importance shd b for English as it's how we link to the globe. Thanks for your comment!
DeleteExcellent ! I appreciate your thinking. I am very much attracted by your point 'Rainwater harvesting'. another is #StopClimateChange. Change of climate is a serious matter in front of humans. But, is global warming happening ? or it was pre-planned by some politicians and scientists of the world to digest huge money in the name of research and spreading awareness ?
ReplyDeleteSixteen prominent scientists in 2011-12 signed an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal expressing their belief that the theory of global warming is not supported by science. New data shows that in fact the Earth has not warmed at all over the last 15 years. In fact, the Daily Mail reports that the Met Office and the University of East Anglia Climatic Research Unit, after taking data from nearly 30,000 stations around the world, have found that the earth stopped warming in 1997. The report suggests we are headed toward a new solar cycle, Cycle 25, which NASA scientists have predicted will be significantly cooler than Cycle 24 which we are in now.
Why did we all hop on board the global warming bandwagon started by politicians when the scientific community didn’t back it? In the year 1998, 31,000 scientists have signed a petition agreeing with the fact that there is no scientific evidence or consensus that man-made global warming exists.
Thanks a lot Chittaranjan for your long and good comment! Probably the longest one on my blog! :D Global warming is a looming threat. Time bomb is ticking for our survival. Thanks again and please keep going through my blog for more thought-inducing posts & commenting here !
DeleteThose were a lot of changes, I must admit.
ReplyDeleteHowever, many more are required and if I go on tho list them, you will have a blog post on your hands rather than a comment. :D
But yes, these are all the basics required to herald even further development.
Very rightly said! Glad to meet U Brendan who thinks so alike me! :D Maybe you can write a new post and tag me there! That'll be quite a chain! :)

Great post Amrita and yes these are the dreams even after 65 years of Independence. Most of them are basics of life. Education is one the best weapon that can help in achieving most of the above points. Hope such changes do come in the near future.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Fayaz for reading and commenting on my post. Ya, still a shame that even 'basics' remain unattained 65 yrs later. We all need to work ceaselessly for changing India for the better.
DeleteA truly feel good patriotic post indeed.
ReplyDeleteAmrita , if atleast 25% of the above mentioned comes true , then India would be a much much better democracy. It's not that we are not proud of our country , it's just that there are lots n lots of things in the current situation which needs to be improved. Like they say . "No country is perfect , the citizens need to thrive to make it one"
Very rightly said Nikhil! We must strive for India's progress so that not just these 26, but far many more wonderful changes occur in India. Thanks for stopping by and I do hope U come more often!
Deletegood one indeed... India definately need such reform as it is a necessity now... if we want to move forward we have to take strong decisions...
