V: Vain

I showed the mirror on your face,

How you cringed in disgrace.

Yet you never will acknowledge it,

For you are the most vain...!

Be that as it may,

If you take at least some right steps,

To correct the possibly ghastly future-

I'll feel my task is accomplished,

I'll forgive your vanity for triumph of

The largest good for the largest number of people.....
