Death is Beginning

What do you think happens after one dies? Bring out the best creative imagination to explain. #DeathisBeginning

After one dies, he/she goes either to heaven or hell based on his/her karma. And if he/she has unfulfilled wishes or dying against will or last rites are done poorly/not done, they stay back on earth as ghosts. This is the proper conventional idea that all might have heard. Also, such ghosts churn the movie, literature and serial industry with ever newer ideas, thus serving an economic purpose as well.;)

Coming to a more creative description, like they show in my favorite Tom and Jerry cartoons, an infinite escalator or staircase towards heaven emerges.

But if it is Hell the dying one deserves, it would be a steeeeeeeep drop to the boiling vessel of the Lord of Death (who happens to be another avatar of the bulldog Spike that Tom fears!)!

But then, analysing deeper, I think the following happens when one dies:

a) I believe the soul separates from the body and is directed to a womb under God's complex algorithm. Based on person's karma, God's GPS will find the womb of that procreating couple at exactly that particular time (including bird, animal, insect, microbe or human) for the departing soul.

b) If the departing soul is an angel, meaning it was his/her last birth on earth, then the fortunate one would be freed of ALL earthly bonds and go to heaven with freshly supplied angelic wings. (a) would not apply to such a blessed soul.

c) If the departing soul has been evil, accordingly he/she will be directed to hell and sent back to earth as an unlucky dog, snake or person born in any turmoil ridden place. Or, if slightly better karma, then no torture in hell- straight God's GPS will send to a womb to go through earthly cycle yet again. So a new life begins again.

d) A super-evil or too-many-unfulfilled-wishes-person or no-last-rites-done person's departing soul will live as a ghost on earth. The Devil, not God, will program such spirits. Neither life, nor death.- they will scare, torture, kill others- till those tantric babas with big beards come with jhadoos (brooms) and skull-and-bones to sweep them back again to hell.

So this is how I think things pan out after one's death. Karma all the way!

  3. How we all must wish for our souls to have some being after our deaths. Heaven help me that I should stay on earth with the mess that it is becoming! We all too must have a desire to see those that we loved in our lives and to connect with our ancestors.

  5. Loved the way you presented a complex/controversial/confusing thing so simply - 'life after death'. I like the sense of humour :)

  7. Although Karma is not a traditional Western teaching, I tend to agree with you. I do think we have many things to learn in our lives on earth and our progress determines what happens next when we die. To me, hell is being born over and over and never quite getting it right. Heaven is attaining nearness to Creator and the universe, and not needing to be born again. I have known a few that I thought to be near angels, and a few that were close to the devils you describe. For most of us, we keep trying, and learning and growing and believe that we are closer to reaching the enlightenment (heaven) we are destined for. This was very good writing, you presented your position well!

    1. Thanks a lot Josie! Delighted that U have given a long, thoughtful comment. Yes 'not getting it right' is a gr8 way of putting it. In search of perfection, we tend 2 be born again and again- unfulfilled lives all over again. Our karma raises us or puts us down. So lets strive for good karma! :D Welcome to my blog! Plz keep coming again and again! :)

  8. This reminds me of many things that I have read about life after death or what happens to a human after death. Yours is quite a funny take on it. And it was truly entertaining. I liked the images that you took from Tom and Jerry. I must say you have a good observation skill. :)

  10. There's a children's book The Funeral Director's Son, that deals with unsettled souls that can't make it to the other side. Interesting stuff.

  12. I like to think that when we die our soul/spirit becomes part of infinity of joy and light. The idea of the super evil dying and staying back as ghosts on earth gives me the shudders. I hope that the good inside the super evil escapes into infinity while the super evil evaporates into nothingness that cannot be reborn.
