The first time I had
pimples was when I was in Class IX. I felt like small volcanoes had come up on
my face and they would erupt periodically with that thing I abhorred- pus. Often I would interfere and make them erupt knowingly, to get back my plain volcano-less face. But alas! This only created further trouble for the plains of my skin, as more volanoes came up.

I was very self-conscious and lacked self-confidence in class. I had a boys’ cut. Yet I wanted my hair to grow long in a jiffy and fall on my face to magically hide those monsters all the time- especially when I was in front of relatives, in class or in just any social gathering. Any attempt to fructify such an event even with my small hair and strategically located pimples, also made things worse- as the hair tickled the pimples and my hand knocked the monsters off as immediate response to stimuli. I was fighting a lonely, bloody battle, injuring myself and writhing in pain.
Worse was the way my nosy
cousin brothers, Aunts and so on kept asking me- “Kuchh lagati kyun
nahin?” [“Why don’t you put some ointment?”] like “Kuchh letey
kyun nahin?” [“Why don’t you take some medicine?”] as told in one of
the popular cold medicine ads. I felt terrible. I secretly wished that when in
the future they have children, the latter should be blessed with pimples. No, I
would not be nosy like their parents then! And guess what? Now one of my cousin
brother’s girls has pimples from as young as class IV. No, do not blame me! It
was NOT MY CURSE!
The problem of pimples has
been continuing off and on since then. Even if I no longer have pimples since
the past few years, there has been a bigger problem. Post-pimple-marks remain
at a few places on my face. With time, they are lightening up. Still those
wanting to poke me for flaws conjure up the marks to be pimples and try to embarrass me. I reply unabashed- “These are just marks...you can see closely. Or
you need spectacles probably!”

Above all, I have
realised, it has been the magic of Neem. Margosa or Neem is a divine tree. Even
the idols of the Great Lords in the Sri Jagannath Temple, Puri, Odisha, India (Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra, Lord Balabhadra,
Sudarsan) are made from sacred Neem trees.

In July this
year, this amazing, unique & rare festival- Nabakalebara 2015
will be held after 19 years and the older idols will be replaced by newer idols
made out of specially chosen Neem trees through divine orders and elaborate rituals!

And now, I am really happy
that Garnier has come up with an exclusive Garnier Pure Active Neem Facewash.
It is a Godsend for me! It shall certainly trump over Neem-based soaps or the hassles of manually preparing
Neem-face-masks. There is little doubt that facewash is obviously more
portable, convenient to carry anywhere- journeys, camps etc. and also easier to
use. It’s like ‘Do Boond’’ (two drops) for a glowing pimple-free
skin! I am all set to use my Garnier Pure Active Neem Facewash. Are you?!
P.S: The kind soul that I am, I have recommended Garnier Pure Active Neem Facewash for my cousin's daughter too. I'm sure they will thank me soon! :)
